Anuj Rawat brings pride to his family after winning the man-of-the-match award after RCB’s win against the Mumbai Indians.

Anuj Rawat's family resides in Ruppur Village (Narayanpur Muliya)  Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, where Virender Pal Singh, the cricketer’s father, has run his farm for years to feed the family. The middle-class family man never intended for Anuj to walk in his footsteps because of their struggles, which disappeared after the left-handed batter entered the IPL.

Winning Man of the Match

As per Anuj Rawat latest news, the RCB batsman exhibited an outstanding performance in the 18th match of the IPL against the Mumbai Indians and was honoured with the title of the man-of-the-match with his 66-run score, made with 2/3rd of boundaries, i.e., six sixes and two fours in 47 balls on April 9th, 2022.

The cricketer’s family hooted for him throughout the match without missing any of the IPL matches as reported by Virender Pal Singh and his wife Asha Rawat, a housewife. Surprisingly, Anuj stayed with his brother Prashant and sister-in-law Ranajan in Delhi, and they didn't miss watching a single ball in the match.

"I watch every match whether it be domestic or IPL — this was a great knock by him. The best part about his innings was that it led to a win. Virat bhai and he built a really important partnership when it was needed," said the brother over the phone.

Anuj’s brother discloses more facts regarding his brother during the interview, informing the world about the cricketer's interest in cooking and singing, according to Anuj Rawat’s Latest News. Early Beginnings

The RCB cricketer bought himself a huge opportunity and was bought by RCB during the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 for a huge sum of Rs. 3.4 crore. Anuj manifested, at a very young age, his desire to become a cricketer and confronted his father about this decision. The cricketer's supportive father sent him to Delhi due to a lack of cricket amenities in Ramnagar.  The wicketkeeper-batter moved to Delhi to try his hand at professional cricket.

Anuj Rawat's debut match for the Ranji Trophy took place in October 2017. The cricketer scored half-centuries in his first two Ranji matches and maintained a consistent performance throughout the domestic league.

Anuj Rawat's debut match in the IPL was conducted in 2021 after being bought by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 80 lakh in 2020.  Anuj competed against KKR in the first match and experienced an unfortunate loss. However, his performance in RCB is continuously improving.

As the brother signs off his interview, he narrates the struggles in their lives as they grew up. According to Prashant, the two separated from their parents for the first time, which was a drastic experience for them as maintaining a balance between work and study wasn't easy. However, the family’s hardship came to an end as Anuj got selected for the first season of the IPL. The 10 years' worth of hard work put in by the family saw a great outcome.

Growing from the roots in a middle-class family, Anuj Rawat’s determination has brought him to live his manifestations. The young cricketer from Uttarakhand brings feelings of pride to his state and family.
