Faheem Ashraf’s Latest News - A Relief for the Pakistan Cricket Fans

After a prolonged gap of two years, Faheem Ashraf has finally completed his comeback for the series against Afghanistan and has also been included in the 17-men squad for the Asia Cup 2023.

Upon returning, he took two wickets in the only match he played, the final game of the three-match series against Afghanistan. Earlier, in March 2022, he missed out on the Test series against Australia due to some fitness concerns related to COVID-19 symptoms.

Meanwhile, he represented the GT20 Canada side Toronto Nationals, where he picked 7 wickets altogether in 5 games. His economy has been recorded as 9.03 in all the matches participated in this tournament so far. Although a bit of inconsistency could be noticed in Faheem’s batting average, the selectors are hopeful of his solid return.

The panellists of PCB were majorly impressed witnessing Ashraf’s bowling mindset during the team’s UK campaign in July 2021. Unfortunately, following that series, his presence in the national team has remained on and off for many reasons.
