He took ten wickets in three Twenty20 Internationals, making him the best bowler for Pakistan in that format, ahead of Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi. In the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand, Rauf picked up four wickets in both games and was named Player of the Match in the first. 

The Pakistani fast was ranked 11th in T20I bowling last week, one spot above Shaheen Afridi and two spots below Shadab Khan. With 10 wickets in the first three T20Is, Rauf has climbed five spots to take the eleventh slot in the rankings.

Haris Rauf's Career

Haris Rauf began playing local cricket with the International Islamic University cricket team in Islamabad before being coerced into serving for the Lahore Qalandars attempt in Gujranwala in September 2017. Haris was hesitant to join the team at first, but Aaqib Javed saw potential in him and invited him to play for the national team in Australia. His domestic racing appearance intensified after being picked to play for Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy.

Haris Rauf was one of six Pakistani players chosen by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2019-20 National T20 Cup series, which will begin in October 2019. A first-class debut for Northern in the 2019-20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy preceded his selection by PCB, and he made his List A debut for Balochistan in the 2019 Pakistan Cup.
