Made his List-A debut for Vidarbha in the 2013-14 season

Jitesh Sharma made his List-A debut for Vidarbha against Odisha at the 2013-14 Vijay Hazare Trophy after scoring 537 runs in 12 innings during the 2012-13 Cooch Behar trophy. Since then, the right-handed batter has scored 1266 runs at an average of 34.21 in 41 List-A games. He has so far logged two centuries and seventy-five runs.

In the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Jitesh Sharma finished third in terms of runs scored with 343 runs at a strike rate of 143.51.  He won his first Indian T20 League contract after a successful Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after his run and Mubaia acquired him in the 2016 Indian T20 league auction for INR 10 lakh. Jitesh has amassed 1491 runs in 63 matches during his domestic T20 career so far with a batting strike of 144.19 and an average of 28.67. 

In the T20 he has broken one tonne and eight half-centuries. Jitesh Sharma made his Ranji Trophy debut for Vidarbha later in the 2015–16 campaign.
