Mark Chapman Earns First NZC Central Contract

Mark Chapman's outstanding performance in the limited-overs match against Pakistan gained widespread attention. Chapman was called up to the ODI squad after a brilliant performance in the just concluded T20I series against Pakistan. Taking over from Martin Guptill, who was released from contract in November, Mark Chapman was handed his first New Zealand Cricket Central contract. Chapman was promoted after some excellent performances with the white ball representing New Zealand in the previous two years.

Chapman, who is from Hong Kong, graduated from King's College High School. Chapman began his cricket career at the surprisingly early age of 15 when he played his debut match for Hong Kong in the Under-19 World Cup.
