  • 161*v India, 2007, Kolkata

Pakistan was set to play against India for the second match of the series in Kolkata after the defeat in the first test match in Delhi. India had an amazing start to the match and scored 616/5d which kept the top-order batters of Pakistan under pressure. However, when Misbah came to bat at number 5, he kept his feet strong on the ground and scored a century. He made 207 runs in partnership with Kamal Akmal for the sixth wicket and 91 runs in partnership with Mohammad Sami for the seventh wicket and backed Pakistan. His unbeaten knock enabled the team to post 456 runs in the first innings. This run ensured that the match ended in a draw.
