Ramiz Raja took a dig at the former Pakistani cricketer and commentator when asked about Akhtar’s wish to become the next PCB chairman. Shoaib Akhtar made a scathing remark on Babar Azam’s speaking skills on a local news channel. After this blasting comment, Ramiz drew a comparison and highlighted the way former players of neighbouring countries treat their players. He further added that the team has no strong character, that playing cricket is different, and that handling media is another task the Pakistani cricketers failed to master. He also mentions that Babar Azam must be the biggest brand in Pakistan but he has not become so as he cannot communicate in English. When Ramiz Raja was asked about Shoaib’s wish to be the next chairman of the PCB, he said that Shoaib ‘needs to get a graduate degree first’ to be eligible for the post of PCB chairman.
