After Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson's departure, Andy Flower has been named the new head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The franchise announced Friday: "For over a decade, Andy has coached the International and franchise cricket teams, winning PSL, The Hundred, ILT20, and T10.After that, he became an extremely successful coach for England, leading them to victory in the home and away Ashes series and the 2010 T20 World Cup. He is also the first Zimbabwe cricketer to enter the ICC Hall of Fame.

The Beginning of a New Era with Flower 

The franchise also revealed a breakup with Hesson & Co. While conducting an internal assessment following the end of the previous season, RCB stated that they had decided not to renew Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar's contracts.
